Responsibility

Y'all.....

How's it going?  Good.  Good.  Well this week was good for me too.  Monday we had a good P-day then we had dinner with a member and Betty.  After that we went to Jessie to say goodbye before she left on her trip.  Tuesday I went down to Greenhead for the day.  Y'all know where that is?  Me either.  It was good though.  

Wednesday we had lunch with a super cool family then traded back.  We taught a few people and then had dinner with another cool family the Snaidman's.  Thursday we went out with Brother George (super cool older fellow) to do some home teaching.  Came home and weekly planned then went out with another member to see a couple of investigators.  Friday....oh Friday.  We had great plans and intentions.  we had 2-3 names for every hour to see for 6 hours....we saw two people in that time....but we got fed dinner so that made it all better.  

Saturday we went to LD's to burn stuff.  FIRE FIRE!!!!  Did that for most of the day.  His back yard looks amazingly better now.  I feel so happy when we get to see others happy.  Sunday we went to church.  I gave my first talk on the mission!  What up!  I was followed by the stake patriarch and his wife.....their talks were so much better....granted they had just finished a year long temple assignment.  We then went and saw a couple of people and ended the night by going to a less active's house for dinner.  

Got transfer calls last night and I will be remaining in Bonifay for another 6 weeks while Elder Whitney leaves me.  What a bum. Now I actually have to be responsible....gross... any way I mad a sick new planner for this upcoming transfers and I learned how to make ties so I will include those pictures and one with Jessie Matthews.  Love y'all!

Sup Y'all!

Bonifay had a pretty good week from a missionary standpoint.  

Monday we worked with our new ward mission leader over a nice dinner.  Tuesday we had district meeting, went and saw Jessie (super prepared investigator), went and helped a member do his home teaching and then ended the night with some basketball.  Wednesday I led the area for the 3rd time on my mission.  Haha It is great not having to do a lot of leading of the area.  We were able to see quite a few people and provide some service for a member.  Thursday we went and did some yard work for a member who bought us breakfast and lunch.

Friday we went out to Jessie's and helped clean up her yard and tried to pull down a dead tree.  She didn't have any rope but she gave us three extension cords, two hoses, and her car to use to get branches from the tree down.  After much labor, a few successes, and a few cord breaks we forfeited to the tree....It will come down sooner or later!  Came home and showered and then went and had a baptism!  Funniest baptism ever.  The water wasn't very high and apparently it was a little too warm for Betty.  Walking into the font she was commenting on that.  Then she went completely horizontal in the font and came up making jokes. about how warm it was and how she was hanging on for dear life.  Oh the South is crazy but I love it!  Saturday we went over to LD's and burned stuff.  Happy 4th!  Went to a less active's for his daughters birthday and then went to the store to buy some dinner and talk to people.  Everyone there already knew us and talked to us a lot​, dang small towns....Anyway the store was slow so the manager gave her keys to an employee and had him drive us home, great small towns!  Sunday we confirmed Betty and then studied.  After that we went and tried to see some people and they all fell through so we were by Jessie's and so naturally the obvious answer is that we need to stop.  Taught her about fasting cause she wanted to feed us.  After that lesson and finishing our fast we broke our fast and ate with her.  She also gave us cool Tupperware stuff that she sells.  Orange peeler?  Don't mind if I do.  Probably one of the best inventions ever created!  Oranges are amazing!  

So yeah that was my week.  Y'all are good people.  Bless your yankee hearts.
